He raised his left hand to defend his face and the hand was broken”, saied Rick Price, one of the tourists.

"My wife and I were riding alond the road, about 70 kilometers north of Cluj-Napoca. We came along a straight stretch and there's some children on a side of the road and when we got 50 feet from them, they pulled up a rope with iron rings in it, to about 3 feet level. They stopped us, and then attacked our bags to get the things out of the bags. I droped my bike, went over. My wife got away on the road, but I was surrounded by about ten of them. They had rocks and had all sorts of things and I was having troubles to get on my bike. A mother with a baby grabbed a shovel and attacked me. Some of the boys came along with pieces of wood. A boy of 10 or 11 years threw a brick at me and i raised my arm to stop the brick and he broke my hand", said Tony Knott.
